The new look of branded workwear

The last 12 months has changed office fashion forever and we’re seeing that reflected in our branded workwear projects.

A Deloitte survey has recently found that more than one in five UK workers are hoping to work from home all, or almost all the time in the future.

More casual dress codes were already on-trend pre-pandemic. The suited and booted stereotype of professionalism had become the cliché that is smart casual, for that ‘approachable whilst professional’ vibe! The journey of office fashion made an unexpected detour through the wardrobe division of joggers and sometimes, shock horror, pyjamas, before settling somewhere else in our experience – branded outerwear.

We’re handling more orders for branded outerwear than ever before…

The pandemic has quite rightly renewed our focus on the important things in life. Progressive results-orientated businesses are arguably more flexible about the details around what their team do, as they hit deadlines and targets. Employers are less inclined to ‘sweat the small stuff’, freedom is the workwear fashion trend of the future.

Beyond the ‘Zoom shirt’

Whilst workwear rules in staff handbooks are being rewritten, many businesses recognise that some form of branded workwear is welcomed by their teams. Wearing the logo of your business is a powerful and physical brand connection. Branded workwear can help teams feel more polished when they are representing the business and logistically they help avoid what-to-wear dilemmas.

If you’re a business that wants to access these benefits, we’ll ensure brand, flexibility and comfort are central to your workwear investment.

Jackets and gilets are our headline recommendation, which encompasses fleeces and bodywarmers. These items are adaptable to occasions, seasons, genders and demographics. As a form of outwear, they are highly visible, hiding all manner of wardrobe decisions, beneath them! They’re essentially the hybrid of the ‘Zoom shirt’, defined by the Urban Dictionary as ‘the shirt or blouse that’s kept on the back of your desk chair to quickly be presentable for video conferences.’ A LinkedIn poll in 2020 found that 42% of home workers had one on standby!

Pictured above are a few brandable outerwear options that have proved popular with our clients. We’ve shown these jackets and gilets as blank canvasses. Your brand style, colour and messaging will come alive in the bespoke recommendations and visuals that we would be pleased to prepare for you. We’re ready to get creative and for your peace of mind, product research and project management are just part of the TLC that we invest in every enquiry.
